The place works really well as a base for exploring the southern Bavarian Forest. We've stayed here several times over the past few years, in different seasons, for a week or longer, and have always felt at home. The apartments are in a listed historic rectory, charmingly and comfortably furnished, with everything you need. There's a bread roll delivery service, and the hosts are very friendly and attentive.

Apartment 2 had a nice layout and worked perfectly for our small family. The whole holiday farm was tidy and very well maintained, and the hosts were accommodating and ready to hear any concerns. We visited during the first week of fall break. It's an easy base for places like Grosser Arber, Pullman City, and the national park. If we're back in the Bavarian Forest, we'd stay here again.

The landlord was very nice, but we're still disappointed and won't return. The apartment itself was cozy and in an ideal location, yet there were too many problems: greasy, dirty towels, no hot water, and a small sofa that was dirty and smelled bad. There wasn't a kettle or microwave either. The Wi-Fi and TV felt completely outdated by today's standards. What a shame.

We had everything we needed in the well-equipped apartment, and its location made day trips easy. There are also shops nearby in Grafenau. The landlady was so friendly, and we felt very comfortable. The children especially loved the playroom 😊.

Our son was especially taken with the playroom, such a great idea to have one. The place was clean and well maintained, and the owners were friendly and always available if we had a question or concern. We were glad to use the morning bread delivery service too.
