The castle sits just a few metres away on top of a cliff, and the views around it are lovely. The town feels like it belongs in a story, and the whole area is wonderfully peaceful, just right for a break or some proper rest. The owners looked after us charmingly. Everything was clean and neat, with good privacy. The rooms stayed warm even in winter, and the carpeted floors helped. The furniture feels warm but practical and modern, with plenty of charging sockets and even Wi-Fi built into the wooden pieces.

Such a quiet spot, with really lovely scenery. The rooms are fine too.

The owners were easygoing and very friendly, and the atmosphere helped make up for a few annoyances. It’s a lovely, roomy apartment, bright and welcoming, with lots of places to sit and a large kitchenette. Some of the fittings feel old, though. The towel rail is loose, the shower head holder is loose too, and the mirrored cabinet has seen better days. The balcony furniture clearly hasn’t been cleaned for a while. In the kitchen there wasn’t a kettle, toaster, microwave, or chopping board, and one of the knives was broken. The sofa was broken as well.

Disaster. My wife and I stay in different hotels every few weeks, and we’ve never come across anything like this. The whole building smells bad and is moldy. The shower mat was so unhygienic it finally made me gag. Charging €63 for a night without breakfast is truly outrageous.

We felt very comfortable here. The owners are friendly, the rooms are really clean, and breakfast is good. If the timing works out, you can pick some tasty cherries from the tree, though naturally that’s at your own risk. The house and furniture are on the older side, if that doesn’t bother you, it’s a great place to stay.
