Alter Speicher Hotel & Restaurant

The service was strange. When I called reception about a room, the person there openly said they couldn't tell me if there were vacancies and told me to book through Booking.com. Later, my event in Greifwald was cancelled, so I wanted to cancel the room too. They got angry about that request. Edit: Dear Sir or Madam, Thanks for your reply below, but that isn't how it happened. I called reception on June 14th to ask about a reservation. The staff member on the phone frankly admitted he was too stupid to check whether a bed was still available and asked me to use Booking.com. That's the only reason I made the reservation there. On the day I was due to arrive, my train to Greifswald was completely cancelled, and the track is still out of use. I called to let you know you didn't need to wait for me that evening. Your staff member responded harshly, as if I'd done something to him. I could have simply not shown up and left him waiting. I then politely asked if the reservation could be cancelled even though I'd made it through Booking.com, since your staff had told me to use it. Your staff member became angry about the question. I understand that you may not be able to cancel a booking made through Booking.com, but I don't understand why you speak to customers so disrespectfully. What a poor GDR-mentality. Sincerely
