Calling this a hotel, especially a 4-star one, feels misleading and left me deeply disappointed. It’s more like an old farm stay, perhaps a guesthouse, campsite with a pool, or eco-tourism place. There is a wellness area and a pool, but the rooms are basic and furnished with IKEA furniture, and the setting doesn’t offer the comfort, service, or standards I’d expect from a proper hotel. If you book expecting a real 4-star experience, be prepared to be shocked.

We spent a weekend in a room for three and had a wonderful time. The nights were completely quiet, the room had a kitchenette, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We especially enjoyed the big breakfast buffet and the massage we booked. The Spa area is beautiful, and although the hotel is surrounded by fields, it’s only a 4 min drive to the beach. I’d highly recommend it for a wellness break away from the city and for exploring Grömitz, Kellenhusen, and Dahme.

No, this wasn’t a hotel. It was a farm, with cows lowing somewhere beyond the hedge and a pool set down almost as an afterthought, shimmering oddly in the scene.

We found the people really nice, and the bikes were great to rent. The rooms are big, the indoor pool is good, and the wellness area was lovely. Best breakfast!

Breakfast had a good range to choose from, and the staff were friendly. The place was very tidy and neat. Nothing to complain about.
