Hotel Windspiel

The room itself was nice and clean, but there was a portable toilet on the terrace and construction noise became unbearable on the third day. We had booked it for three days, and the trucks, excavator, and vibratory plate compactor had been manageable for the first two. When I asked reception when the noise would stop, they said other guests weren't bothered and asked what we were doing in our rooms. I hadn't realized the room was only for sleeping. I said I wanted to leave, and was told, "I'll be glad to be rid of you. I'll give you €150 for one night." We left the hotel. At 71, I've learned that the customer is king. Definitely not here. Photos of the construction work are on the hotel's Facebook and Instagram pages.

We went to a birthday party here. I can't speak to the rooms, but the food was excellent, and my wife and I both enjoyed it. The staff were attentive, and it turned into a great evening.

My girlfriend and I felt very at home in Grömitz, which is well worth visiting. Both the menu food and breakfast were excellent.

The interior at Hotel Windspiel is really lovely. I visited two weeks ago, but can't say anything about the service. The outside could use a gardener, which would make it even more inviting.
