We believe in security and safety, and can't accept the lax attitude from both the staff and management. We won't return and recommend that you do the same. In early January, my wife and I came back to the hotel at 1300 and found our room door wedged open, presumably by the cleaning staff. Nobody came to close it or retrieve the wedge and hotel card until 1830. Reception was surprisingly unconcerned. Leaving guests' room doors open for 51/2 hours clearly didn't seem to matter much to them. I emailed the hotel's general manager afterward, but got no reply.

The food was OK, though nothing special. Keep in mind you can pay only with cash or an EC, German debit card. They don't accept credit cards, which is challenging if you're visiting from abroad. Since it's a restaurant attached to a hotel, I expected credit cards to be accepted.

The food was absolutely amazing, and the eggs and cheese in the morning are worth trying. Whoever's cooking behind the scenes deserves a big thumbs up, well done! This has been my best experience in Germany so far. A must-do if you want to get your feet wet and whistle as well :)

Lovely restaurant location, food, and service. At first I was told I couldn't pay by credit card, even though it wasn't a small amount. Then they said it was possible after all, but charged me a 4€ fee. That's unacceptable, eine Unverschämtheit.
