The setting is beautiful, the room was modern and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. But I was very disappointed by the Brasserie service. I’m Polish and speak German, yet nobody understood me in German, even though the hotel is in Germany. The waiter also struggled to understand English. For a five-star hotel, service where staff can’t understand guests or their needs is very poor. That shouldn’t happen.

The rooms were very nice, though water leaked from the shower handle in mine. I was with a larger group, and the bar couldn't provide what we asked for, including glasses and rum. The food was alright, just not anything special.

The staff were kind and helpful, and my room was comfortable and roomy. The location is wonderful. The outdoor lighting, though, seems designed for looks rather than safety. At night, the cobblestones and dirt paths can be tricky to walk on. Some stretches have no lighting, while other lights shine in your eyes or leave shadows across paths that are already dark. It can be quite dangerous. The food was okay, but not great, and you can get a much better meal for less in Klütz or Boltenhagen. The coffee was terrible.

The rooms were kept at 25°C, and there was no way to switch off the heating. We left the windows open, but that obviously isn't an energy-efficient solution. Otherwise, it was almost a perfect stay.

The staff were really welcoming and engaged. The beach is just 300 m away and was barely crowded, with great surroundings for walks and bike rides. We spent a couple of days there and loved the location.
