The restaurant was a real highlight for us. We ate there four times, and everything was delicious. Try the house beer! The location worked well too, close to Berlin and the S-Bahn, but still out in the country. My husband and I stayed for two nights in late October 2025. Our room was clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed, and the staff were kind and helpful. The younger employees spoke very good English, while the others were patient and friendly with us. A few things to know: breakfast has a well-stocked buffet, but it costs extra. Also, check the dates before booking. We accidentally came during the annual Oktoberfest, when the courtyard filled with partygoers and the noise carried late into the night. The hotel hosts it on site, and it looked like a lot of fun if that’s your thing, so this wasn’t the hotel’s fault. We also had trouble finding staff after hours when our keycard stopped working around 8 pm. We went to the front desk, then had to track down a very friendly server in the kitchen. She couldn’t find anyone else to help, but managed to find an old skeleton key and lent it to us overnight. Despite those minor hassles, we’d stay here again and recommend it to others.

We went for the parkland and play areas with young children, not to use the hotel or restaurant. There’s a beer garden, a cafe, and plenty for kids, including playgrounds, pony trekking, a mini quad bike ride, and an often-open play area with a kiosk. If you arrive early, you can park in the hof.

We’ll definitely come back. Schloss Diedersdorf has lots of green space and a calm countryside feel, with room to walk, a playground, a carousel, and horse rides for children. It’s a great spot for families, nature lovers, and a weekend or longer stay. The homemade food is delicious, and there are several places to eat. The facilities were clean, especially the restrooms, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. There’s also a hotel complex, so you can stay longer. The grounds and welcoming atmosphere would suit big occasions too, whether a family gathering, company party, wedding, or birthday. Thanks for a lovely visit!

The rooms are spacious and clean, with plenty of character and the essentials for a comfortable stay. Schloss Diedersdorf sits just outside Berlin and makes a relaxing escape, whether you’re after a quiet weekend, a countryside wedding, or simply some fresh air. The restored Herrenhaus dates back to 1793, and the estate’s history shows in details like the old wooden stairs and vintage decor. Cobblestone paths, open lawns, and timber-framed barns give the place a rustic feel, while modern comforts are still available. It’s a memorable mix of history and countryside charm.
