There’s a large garden with a playground for kids and a spot to relax, and the sea is only a couple of minutes away on foot. The rooms are roomy, clean, and have equipment in very good shape, plus parking is free. The hotel is very good overall. My one issue was the polyester bedding. I couldn’t sleep well with it, so I think that should be improved.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The beach and ocean are just across the boardwalk, with white sand right in front of the hotel. There’s room to unwind in the front garden, including lounge chairs. It’s a five-minute walk along the boardwalk to the marina, where you can sit and watch the sunset, and there are a few cafes and bars there. The pier, shops, and restaurants are about eight minutes away on foot. A bus stop five minutes down the street goes to Heiligenhafen, and the train station is a 25-minute walk. The pillows felt too low and soft, though we could have asked for another one. There weren’t any English-language TV channels. At least CNN and BBC would be good to have.

The hostess gave us a very warm welcome, and breakfast was a nice buffet. Nothing fancy, but it has full service. Recommended.
