Hotel 4 Hufen

We had a good breakfast, with bread, cheese, cold cuts, marmalade, fruit juice, coffee at the table, and a boiled egg. Our room was spacious, with two armchairs, a TV, and an en-suite shower. We were given a three-bed room instead of the two beds we booked, without paying extra. We stayed at Hotel 4 Hufen overnight while traveling from SXF toward the Baltic Sea. The late check-in was friendly and thorough. For dinner, they sent us about 100 meters down the street to Haus Belger, which had a cozy feel, welcoming staff, and generous, tasty meals that were worth the price. It worked well as a stop before continuing our journey. Grossziethen itself isn't a metropolis, if that's what you're looking for. I can't say what the commute into Berlin proper is like.

The staff were nice, and the rooms are modest. Mine was clean, but the other room hadn't been vacuumed and had someone else's makeup products on the floor. We were in a separate building next to the main one facing the street. There were no other guests there, and the rooms felt cold, which made the stay unpleasant. Breakfast was okay, though the coffee came only in jugs and the only hot food was boiled eggs in a basket. Fine for one night, roughly.

It feels like a home away from home, with a neat, cozy, affordable hotel close to everything. For anyone visiting Berlin, this is the best hotel.

The people are good, and the bedrooms are nice. The Wi-Fi connection was bad.
