Schlosshotel Grunwald

The restaurant has just been refurbished and looks fabulous. We went for dinner and had an Italian style menu. The food was out of this world, and the staff gave five star service. I come to München often from the UK, so I’ll definitely visit again.

We dropped in on a whim hoping to have lunch and ended up having a brilliant time on the beautiful terrace. The welcome was friendly, there was a great range of specials alongside the regular menu, and the service was impeccable. We chose the 3course set meal, which began with an amuse Bouche and three kinds of fresh bread. Every course was perfect, with fresh, quality ingredients that tasted of themselves. The dessert was 'calorie free' 😜 and divine. We'll definitely come back.

The deluxe room was lovely, calm, and comfortable, with good beds. The place is beautiful, very clean, and feels really protected. The meat, vine, and tiramisu were incredible. Some waiters seemed unprofessional and unhelpful, and were sometimes unfriendly, though the other staff were super good. One cleaning lady did her job formally, while the other was perfect. Reception was friendly, very helpful, and responsible. I hope to come again and try something new for breakfast.

The suite was fabulous, and reception was wonderful. Breakfast was average, while the restaurant was excellent, if a bit pricey. It’s a charming place in a wonderful location, and we walked in the forest. The official photos don’t do it justice.
