The food was excellent, and the rooms felt roomy with really comfortable beds. The building itself has a lot of history and is awesome.

Breakfast was a highlight for me. The food came in small portions in individual containers, which kept things clean and cut down on waste. Our room was quiet, and we slept really well. We were very happy with it, and the hotel sits right in the centre of this small town.

8/10
The prices were good for what we ordered, and the staff were friendly. There’s plenty to choose from among the starters and main dishes, with classic German food alongside a few specials. The evening meal was good, though the desserts let things down a little, since most were ice cream with something added. I found the atmosphere a bit too bright. Still, you can’t go wrong with a visit here.

The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The food was exceptional, especially the best "Rostbraten" in the region. I’d absolutely recommend visiting the Herzogskelter, and I’m already looking forward to going back.

The restaurant serves proper regional cooking, with competent, very pleasant staff. The welcome was warm and personal, and the hotel itself is really lovely and full of charm.
