They charge for bed and breakfast, but on Sunday you may only get the bed: the nearby bakery that supposedly provides breakfast is closed that day. The hotel also promotes parking as if it has a private dedicated lot, but it doesn't. You have to find an available spot on the street. Nasty business.

This happened to us in summer 2023. We couldn't access our room because of utility-related problems, and the owner wouldn't answer our calls or give us any refund. They take all the money before your stay and won't return even a cent. Maybe check the very low ratings before booking at Guntia. Avoid at any cost!

It took me an hour outside the hotel to get in because the website that controls the doors wasn't working. There was no backup plan and nobody there to help, just a woman on the phone who was struggling to assist and was clearly overwhelmed. You need to register on a website to open both the main entrance and your room, since there are no keys. It was incredibly frustrating and embarrassing that in 2022 the doors could be inaccessible like this. Check-in is entirely online, and if something goes wrong it's really hard to reach an English-speaking person. The bathroom had lots of mold, especially in the shower. The ceiling was moldy too, though it had been painted over. There's no air conditioning, and the room and bathroom are poorly ventilated. Opening the windows didn't help, because noise kept me awake: people drinking and having fun until 1 a.m., and trucks arriving to make deliveries early in the morning. I had a really frustrating stay.

Legoland was nice, and so was Guenzburg, but after this stay I'd choose another city if I visited Legoland again. Money seems too easy to make in Guenzburg by using Legoland as the main draw. The hotel is in a great spot in the centre of old-town Guenzburg, but it was poor value for money. Our party of five had a huge room under the roof. The weather stayed mild, which was lucky, since it could have been too hot. The room had cheap furniture and bedding, several lights didn't work, and the roller blinds were in tatters. Breakfast was only passable. The hotel also seems to have zero official stars, for a reason.
