Die Mühlenhelle

The food was excellent, and breakfast was just as good. My room was okay for size and cleanliness, and most of the staff were very polite and helpful. The receptionist, though, wasn’t very polite when showing me the room. I booked a New Year’s Eve package directly on the hotel’s website and had the confirmation with me, but reception said they were overbooked and couldn’t accommodate me as booked. They didn’t accept that it was their fault, though they didn’t blame me either. They offered another date, cancellation, or a deal without the package. With my family and nowhere else available at the last minute, I had to take the deal without the package. I’d rate the food very highly, but I wouldn’t expect that kind of reception.

The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. The staff were friendly, attentive, and more than happy to meet my requests. I told them at dinner that I was vegetarian, and they remembered when serving breakfast the next morning. I’ve experienced the best hospitality here since coming to Germany. Loved it :)

I come here regularly for dinner. There’s a big wine selection, the service is excellent, and every dish is top quality, prepared with great attention to detail. One of the best restaurants around.

Breakfast is served at the table, with fresh orange juice and homemade marmalade and chocolate spread. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is lovely and luxurious, with roomy rooms in a classic style and thoughtful amenities like a toothbrush, shaving kit, and lip balm. There are two working 220V, 24Amp TESLA destination chargers, plus one regular charger. Highly recommendable!
