Schuler

First class...

Our holiday at the Schuler farm was positive from start to finish, and we can wholeheartedly recommend it. We arrived to a warm welcome, homemade cake, and a small selection of drinks. The apartment was well-kept, lovingly furnished, and very well-equipped, with attention to detail and cleanliness throughout. The extra lounge was handy, with specialty coffees, drinks, and farm products like sausage, jam, and honey for sale. The bread delivery service made mornings relaxing. There was plenty of information and useful advice about things to do nearby, and the farm had lots of activities too: fishing in the family's own pond, tractor rides, goat walks, a children's play barn, and a foosball room. Our daughter got a lunchbox as a souvenir, and we received homemade jam when we left. Months later, a Christmas card with warm greetings arrived, such a personal touch. It's a place we'll remember fondly.

The apartment itself was nicely and practically furnished, but there wasn't enough of a farm for a holiday farm. We stayed a week at Schuler holiday farm with our two children, encouraged by the good reviews, and came away disappointed. The "Kornblume" apartment didn't feel very baby-friendly, and the missing safety gate at the top of the stairs worried us. We felt sorry for the two goats in a 2m-10m enclosure beside a stable; they already seemed to show signs of behavioral problems. The rabbits were kept stacked in boxes, sitting in their own moldy droppings. Those were the only animals we could see, and we'd specifically sought a farm with lots of animals that visitors could actually see. The playroom was awful, with nothing inviting or cozy for families, and its toilet was clogged and looked accordingly hidden. We won't go there again.

The farm is only a few minutes from the lake, and feeding the rabbits was a real highlight. The holiday apartment was fantastic, with a perfectly equipped kitchen and lovely touches for guests arriving and leaving. Nothing was missing. There was also a great playroom with foosball and a dartboard, plus a shop for the little ones.
