The bed, pillows, and blankets were so comfortable, and there were thoughtful little touches everywhere that made the stay feel special. The owner was lovely, the service spot on, and the food delicious. A wonderfully cozy hotel surrounded by beautiful nature. Totally recommend it!

The food stayed superb and came out quickly, even with lots of guests around, and everything was always clean. The staff were friendly and got to know us quickly, and the amenities for our babies and kids couldn't have been better. We found this place through a restaurant nearby while looking for somewhere to stay regularly when visiting family. It has the kind, friendly feel we wanted as a go-to spot for trips to see the grandparents. We couldn't be happier. Please don't change!

The friendly service and lovely atmosphere were definite positives. Still, our companion, who has visited the Grüner Baum several times, said the food was much worse this time than on her earlier visits. We'd gone to "Der Grüne Baum" for dinner on a recommendation, since it's well known locally for good food. The Cordon Bleu was almost too salty. The potato wedges listed as a side seemed to have been clumsily dumped from the freezer onto the plate, and the presentation felt more like an ordinary meal at home than an inn. The "Swiss Pfännle" was under-seasoned, and the meat was dry.
