B&B HOTEL Hagen

We arrived at 23:30 to find our room on an upper floor and no elevator in the building. There was only one pillow in the room. When my wife went downstairs to ask for another, the concierge seemed to expect the request and already had one ready. Still, he didn't bring it up to save us a late-night trip back down and up the stairs. This hotel is nowhere near four stars, maybe two at best, and I don't think it was worth what we paid.

The room was fine for the price, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. But checking in was a hassle. We arrived early in the afternoon and got inside because other guests were leaving and held the door for us. Two people were already waiting at reception, and after 15 minutes with nobody there, we went into town. Later we couldn't get back in: the door stays locked and you have to ring, but nobody answered. A cleaner eventually spotted us and let us in. We also had to pay in cash because apparently the card machine wasn't working. The area around the station has a lot of homeless people and people with alcohol problems, with other sketchy people hanging around nearby. As a woman, I wouldn't walk around there alone at night.

The rooms were very decent, the staff were super friendly, and the location is right in the center.

The worst hotel ever!!!!!!
