The owner is cute and very friendly, and the place has a real Bayern feel to it. The rooms are good, with balconies and a nice view from the windows. I’d recommend staying here.

A beautiful, quiet place to relax, with clean, great rooms, free WiFi, and a huge breakfast. The family are so nice.

The shared kitchen is really well equipped, with a stovetop, kettle, microwave, toaster, cookware, plates, and cutlery, but some guests left it dirty. There’s a sign saying everything is there for guests to use, and it’d be nice if everyone cleaned up after themselves so the shared space stays pleasant. That was my main suggestion for improvement. My girlfriend also thought the downstairs bathroom could use a heater, though I found it warm enough. The shower worked great, everything was clean, and a hairdryer is available on request. Room 1 had its own bathroom, a comfortable bed we slept wonderfully in, a sofa bed, and plenty of storage and closet space. The lounge and breakfast room have a TV and radio for general use, but you need to bring your own TV for your room. We didn’t miss one, since there’s so much to see and do around the Allgäu. The mountains are practically at the doorstep and visible in the distance when it’s not foggy. There’s free parking, excellent Wi-Fi, and the rooms are clean. The breakfast was varied and excellent, served at a lovely, spacious, cozy communal table, with individual requests catered for. The kitchenette is shared with other guests. Uta is easy to talk to, knows a lot about the area, and gives great excursion tips and stories about local castles and towns. We were asked almost every day, often more than once, if we needed anything. The service was outstanding and very friendly, and they were open to suggestions. We extended our Allgäu holiday over New Year’s Eve on the spur of the moment and called Pension Alpenland in Halblech. They welcomed us warmly, and we were lucky to get a last-minute room. By the second day we felt at home. Check-in was easy, contactless, and based on trust, and check-out at 11 a.m. was relaxed too. I know parts of the Lower Allgäu and visit often, and the guesthouse is handy for reaching nearby towns, sights, mountains, and lakes. It’s a varied area with lots to experience. The friendly atmosphere with the other guests made it feel like one big family. We loved our stay and will definitely come back. Thank you, Uta and family, for a wonderful time in the Allgäu.
