DO NOT STAY HERE! The reception clerk was incredibly rude and aggressive. I was exhausted and needed to check the location before confirming my booking. I cancelled while sitting in the lobby to give myself ten minutes before the booking locked in, so I could decide whether to stay. I asked for basic directions around the city and he wouldn’t answer. Five minutes later he ordered me out, while I was on my laptop trying to choose between this hotel and somewhere better located for the concert I was going to that night. It was only 6 pm. I was tired and wet from the rain, and I’ve never been treated so rudely by hotel staff. I was made to leave like a peasant just for needing five minutes to decide. And in response to his reply: Liar. Kicking someone out into the rain is rude. His answer about me not wanting to leave the house to renegotiate the price makes no sense. Why would I go back out in the rain to renegotiate? I needed ten minutes to check directions and decide whether to stay, since the hotel is farther from the city center than advertised. A good hotel should let someone sit dry, use the free Wi-Fi, and take ten or thirty minutes to make up their mind, especially after walking 20 minutes in the rain from the tram stop. Caring about people is part of running a small business, but you only treat people kindly when they’re paying you. Don’t stay here. Spend your money with people who are kind. On my way out, another woman from the hotel was furious that its website claimed the city center was a 5-15 minute walk, when it’s actually a 12 minute taxi ride. Disgusting.
