Elbgalerie Hotel

I rarely write hotel reviews, but this stay was disappointing. Check-in was smooth and the front desk staff were really nice. The cleaning staff, though, were disrespectful. On Sunday morning their loud conversations echoed back and forth along the halls and woke us up. They were so noisy we could barely hear each other, and it gave us a headache. I also saw another review saying staff went in despite a “do not disturb” sign, which makes me wonder about that too. I could live with the location, the unclear parking rules, pillows that looked like they might not have been cleaned, and a bathroom that didn’t seem to get as much cleaning as it should. Being woken by staff was what really annoyed me.

Breakfast was perfectly fine, with a decent range of choices, though nothing fancy. The hotel feels like a budget option. My room was on the small side, but the beds were comfortable. The shower itself was good, even though the enclosure was a little broken. Noise and cold came through the windows, and the blinds let in quite a bit of light.

The rooms are modern and really spacious, but we found bed bugs in the bed. When we told the staff, they didn’t apologize or say anything about it.

The staff were friendly and nice. The hotel was clean and quiet.
