The location and spa are really nice, but the service wasn’t what we expected. I went with my partner for New Year to start the year in a relaxed way. It was a birthday present for my recent birthday, so the restaurant experience was especially disappointing. Our quiche was burned, but when we asked, we were told it was meant to look that way because it gets reheated in the oven. The potato soup at dinner was burned too. Waiting for a replacement killed our appetite, then the main courses took ages and arrived just as we decided to cancel. The fish’s Wirsing side was inedible from too much salt, and the salad was swimming in dressing. We eat out a lot and know things can go wrong, but the way our complaint was handled was ridiculous: they offered 30% off the mains we hadn’t eaten. It’s a pity, because the spa is nice and there aren’t many alternatives nearby. Still, when you’re paying a pretty high price to relax and enjoy yourself, you expect better service and treatment. Judge for yourself.

I love this sauna! It’s always a nice experience, very clean, peaceful and relaxing. There’s a good choice of snacks and drinks, you can smoke outside at the tables, and the locker rooms are really nice. They have two sauna cabins, one of them quite large, plus excellent indoor saunas and a steam room. The treatment schedule is very good, with something seeming to be on in one of the rooms all the time. Highly recommend it. The sauna is reasonably priced, though the hotel is a bit pricey.

The wellness area is superb, and the rooms are stylish with comfortable beds. Such a nice location. We’ll be back soon to relax and slow down!

When it’s quiet, the place has amazing charm and feels like an oasis of calm. Once it’s full, though, it’s more like a hectic mall with no peaceful atmosphere.
