Hotel Stadt Hamm

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel is in the city centre. But there was no hotel parking, so we had to use an open lot and pay separately. The hotel has room service, though everything inside looked and smelled old. It was very, very loud. The neighborhood has intense nightlife, and we couldn't rest. The hotel needs urgent sterilization. Not a nice experience.

Every Wednesday there are loud parties that go on until 5 or 6 in the morning. When I complained, the hotel staff answered in a hostile way. The furniture is old, the room smells, and the bed linen was dirty.

The staff were brill, and the bar was very cosy. Our room was big and well priced. The area surprised us, with coffee shops around a quiet little square and lots of restaurants amid the busy nightlife. We stayed two nights while travelling through Europe, and I'd book again without hesitation.

For a 2-star hotel, this is a good place. The rooms are dated but clean, the booking was fine, breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are single rooms. Parking is on the market square, so check whether you need to pay. The hotel also has three of its own spaces around the corner. Would I stay again? Yes, no doubt.
