We had a decent two-night stay. The room felt modern but still cozy, and they gave us the double bed I’d asked for ahead of time. Service was okay, though security seemed pretty relaxed. Nobody checked our passports or recorded any details, and after 11 p.m. there was no reception. The desk was often unattended even earlier, and late arrivals were left to collect their keys without anyone watching.
During our three-day stay, the rooms weren't cleaned, and the old appliances really need renovation. Service was poor, and management was very inflexible when I asked to change our dates. They insisted on a 14-day deadline, which applied to cancelling the whole trip rather than changing the length of the stay. For the price, it just doesn't add up. Better stay away.
At breakfast this morning, a staff member stood near our table and cursed in her own language while working, apparently because we'd moved to a clean table. When I said that was rude, especially in hospitality, she told me, “You should not visit a hotel.” I asked for her name, but she wouldn't give it. She was young and slim, with black hair.

The relaxed atmosphere and comfortable rooms made our stay at the PLAZA Hotel Hanau really enjoyable. The staff were friendly too. I'd gladly come back and recommend it.
