Concorde Hotel Am Leineschloss

The internet was the one real problem for me. The signal was weak and slow, dropped me every few minutes, and wasn't strong enough for calls. Navigation was difficult too, so getting work done during my stay was hard. Everything else was good. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with nice staff, at least most of them. It's in a pleasant, quiet area, about a 10-minute walk from the main train station and just 150 meters from a metro stop, which is useful with bags. Dining options, shops, and attractions are easy to reach. Breakfast had a good range of items.

The breakfast was very nice, and the woman serving it was friendly. The room was very clean, but the bed was small, and there was no coffee machine or electric kettle in it. We only noticed the coffee machine downstairs as we were leaving, since the receptionist hadn't mentioned we could use it. Our welcome on the afternoon of August 9 was unfriendly. The receptionist was eating in another room, and when we called her over, she came without wiping around her mouth.

We were made to feel welcome by the most polite staff I've encountered at a German hotel. The location was great for the Christmas market, the rooms were warm in winter, and breakfast was ample.

Breakfast had a good range of food, and I found my room clean, tidy, and comfortable. The hotel's location is perfect. The shower was a letdown, though: its temperature kept swinging from okay to too hot and then too cold. I also found the room cold at times and hot at others.
