Hotel Atlanta

For the price, it was totally worth it. I had a double room to myself and found it very comfortable. The location is superb, it was very quiet, and there are parking spaces in and around the property. You can smoke on the balcony. The reception workers were very nice and helpful.

The room was clean, and you could still get in with your room card after reception closed at 10. But with no phone to reach reception, even a small issue was tricky. There was no water, toothpaste, or kettle, and the pillows weren’t great. The hand wash and body wash bottles were hard to press. Breakfast was basic, with little variety.

The staff were really nice and the beds comfortable. We were given a single room instead of a double, though, and the air conditioning didn’t work. We’d use the hotel again for a cheap layover. Tip: street parking in front of the hotel is free at night.

The breakfast buffet had a wide range of items and was included, which made a nice start to each day of travel. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, though they spoke quietly and we often struggled to understand them in both German and English. For the price, it’s a really good place to stay in central Hannover. The central station is just a few minutes’ walk away, and you can walk to the zoo too. Reception closes at 10 p.m. Our flight arrived late, so we had to rush to get there before closing, and you need to be back by then if you want anything from reception. The lift also stops operating after 10 p.m. That might disturb people staying near the stairs, with guests walking past their rooms at night, but we were near the top of the hotel, so it didn’t affect us.
