Jelinski Beherbergungsstätten

The rooms were clean when we arrived, with plenty of space for our things. We didn’t feel comfortable using the shared kitchen, so I can’t comment on it. For such a low price, the place was about what I expected, but the room was bad and a bit strange. The website says the owner or manager speaks English, but it was clear they spoke little or none. They offered complimentary water, which was kind, but it was sparkling, something I find disgusting as a Brit. There was just one glass for a twin room. My bedside light didn’t work, and the bathroom light buzzed loudly. It got annoying after five minutes. The mattresses were okay, but the pillows were oddly sized and so flat I thought they were 2-D. The headboard cushions were positioned so you had to sit fully against them or lie down, with no way to lean comfortably. Room cleaning wasn’t included in the price, as expected, but someone did empty the bins. The maid or whoever it was opened the door without knocking or saying anything, which startled us. We seemed to be next to permanent residents who played music with awful taste late at night and blasted Dirt 4 on Xbox. We could hear almost everything, and I don’t know why they needed the volume up so high.
