Motel One Hannover-Oper

The rooms are well designed, the location is good, and breakfast was good too. My room was comfortable, though the bathroom was very small and had no ventilation. There also weren't enough places to sit at breakfast, and I didn't like how low the lobby tables were for eating. That's just my personal preference, though, and other people may like it.

I had a wonderful week here and felt welcome thanks to the whole team. Ahmed and Chirag Chirag deserve a special mention for being so kind, friendly, and attentive. The hospitality was fantastic, and I hope to come back soon.

There was no welcome when we arrived, just a question about our name followed by a remark that we hadn't paid, even though we'd already paid for the booking. From the start, it felt like we were only seen as a price tag. Nobody offered a greeting or asked how the stay was going, and we got no arrival information, not even the checkout time or whether food was served. The room had no phone to call reception and no kettle, tea, coffee, or biscuits. I consider those basic things, but without them you're left paying €3 for a tea. Have 2/3 teas each per day when you get back to relax, and that's €20 a day. I find that a disgrace, especially from such a massive chain. I'll go out of my way to avoid staying with this group again.

We stayed for just one night last month, and our room for 3 was roomy and comfortable. The reception staff were friendly too. The best part was Carmela at breakfast. When she noticed it was our daughter's birthday, she brought her a muffin with a candle and some sweets, and took time to chat with us. Thank you!
