Yors Hotel Hannover

The building is nice, but the way management handled my booking was strange. I accidentally reserved two rooms instead of one and contacted support straight away. After several days of calls, the manager said the reservation couldn’t be reinstated once cancelled, while keeping the full charge. It seems the policy mattered when it helped the hotel, but guest support didn’t. If management put half as much effort into helping guests as into collecting payment, this could be a great place.

The room was clean and kept in good shape, and the staff were polite, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is only a two-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof, which made for a comfortable, pleasant stay.

The staff were very friendly and handled every request with a smile. Breakfast was an okay, standard continental spread, and for the price it’s a reasonable choice. It’s a cozy place right in the city center, with an easy walk from the main station and its direct airport train. Just be aware there’s only one elevator to reach the floors, so it may not suit anyone who’s afraid of lifts.

The room we booked was shown with a queen bed, but we found two single beds instead. When I asked reception about it, they said the website photos were old and from the previous owner, and that it had nothing to do with them. There was no apology or effort to fix the problem. We were simply told nothing could be done and that we could change hotels if we didn’t like it. From arrival, reception had been rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional, with no welcome or willingness to help. The misleading listing, dismissive response, and lack of accountability made this one of my worst hotel stays. I’d never return or recommend it to anyone.
