The location worked really well for walks with our dog, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and roomy. Breakfast is included at the restaurant across the way, with lots of options to choose from.

It’s a great spot surrounded by forest, but the management was poor. My room was a first-floor chamber with no air conditioning, so sleeping felt like being in a sauna. The reception desk wasn’t helpful, and after two nights they still hadn’t fixed the broken overhead light or floor lamp in my room. There’s no elevator, so getting a huge suitcase upstairs means climbing the stairs.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful during our planned stay at this beautiful place. We had to leave very early the next morning, and they tried to make sure we could still get coffee before we went. Such a nice experience.

The back nine are especially pretty, and 18, the so-called signature hole, is a favorite to watch from the lovely restaurant. It’s a challenging but fun course, and a great one to play. Pascal the pro is always a treat, even when it’s just a conversation. All in all, a great club.

No negatives. I really enjoyed the two days at Gut Düneburg. The rooms, bed, and bathroom were excellent, the staff were friendly, and the food was excellent too. The 18-hole course is beautiful and well kept, with an interesting layout that can be challenging but forgiving at times.
