We booked a family room for me, my partner, and our child, but none was available when we arrived. The hotel put us in two rooms instead, then the next day wanted to charge double for both, even though that wasn't what I'd booked. At checkout I left my bag, with my medication inside, by the bar. I had to drive 150 km to collect it. When I got there, the woman said she had no bag and told me to leave while her bodyguard watched. I believe she stole it. Don't trust the smiles. I wish I could give no stars. She'll probably claim she doesn't remember us or write fake reviews so mine disappears. Shame on you for taking advantage of my poor family.

We felt so comfortable at Hotel Hauensteiner Hof, especially because the team welcomed us so warmly with our little baby. Everyone was helpful and attentive without hovering, and it was clear they cared about their work. The food was fresh, regional, and thoughtfully made; we ate both breakfast and dinner there, and all our needs were taken care of. The place is peaceful, lovingly put together, and very well cared for. From the moment we arrived, we could feel the care and passion behind it. We felt truly welcome, not just like guests. That atmosphere makes us want to come back. I'd recommend it to families, couples, or anyone after a place with soul.
