Hotel Lamm

A lovely family hotel, close to the city center. My room was clean, and breakfast was fine. :)

The next morning, the main issue came up. We had been charged for both nights when we checked in, even though we'd booked by phone and didn't have an HRS or other guaranteed reservation. We'd asked for two nights, but our plans changed, so we told the owner the next morning that we had to leave a night early and asked for the second night's payment back. She said, “it's your problem,” and refused to refund us. I'm very disappointed and strongly don't recommend this hotel. The room wasn't ready when we arrived. It was cold, there were no towels, the bed hadn't been made, the heating was off, and the windows were wide open in winter. The restaurant also closes at 8 p.m., so arriving a little later means you can't get a meal. Breakfast was very poor. I don't eat dairy or gluten, and there was nothing for me. Cappuccino wasn't included either. It cost an extra €2.40 instead of regular coffee.

The owners are really nice, and I felt at home there. I spent almost a year staying there, alternating a week at the hotel with a week at home.

It wasn't a big hit, but for a short stay the price and value were just right. I didn't have time to try the restaurant, though the menu looked promising.
