My wife and I have talked about this stay many times. It’s one of our fondest memories from our last trip to Germany, and for us it’s this place or nowhere when we’re in Heidelberg. We got up around 4:30 a.m., walked along the river, listened to the birds and talked as the sun came up, then enjoyed an amazing breakfast. The hotel and restaurant are historically old, and that age is part of their charm. The staff were delightful and so helpful, dinner was amazing, and we loved soaking up the history almost as much as the food. Hervorragendste Erfahrung!

We stayed here over 15 years ago, when my precious husband was training at Heidelberg printer company. It was our first time overseas from the USA, and we were there in winter. What a dream it was. Our room felt so romantic, the food was delicious, and the staff were delightful. Now that my beloved has passed away, the memory means even more to me. I’m glad your wonderful establishment is still there. Thank you for the memories.

The meals are a real highlight. Breakfast was as good as any I’ve had at a hotel, and dinner at the restaurant came with great food and flawless service. The staff were friendly, helpful and quick to respond to requests. Our room was spacious and nicely appointed. The hotel is in a very quiet spot, yet still an easy walk from the old town. A really wonderful experience at Die Hirschgasse.

Dinner was fantastic, and the breakfasts each morning were memorable. The staff were wonderful, too. My only small complaint is that they served breakfast with paper napkins. A feast like that deserves better.

Breakfast was a highlight, and the room was elegantly decorated. The hotel is well placed for walks up the hill or a trip into town and to the castle. We had a very pleasant stay. We wanted to eat at the restaurant, but it was full, so at least we have a reason to return next time.
