The location worked really well. The old city center is walkable, with plenty of food options, and the "Körperwelt" museum is right next door. You can catch the tram directly outside the hotel, and Uber was reasonably priced too. The front desk staff were fantastic, patient, and kind. The room was comfortable and clean, but I was there for two conference nights during a heat wave, and the AC could have cooled it better. That made it hard to sleep and feel rested the next day. Maybe AC is a general issue in German hotels. Breakfast cost nearly 20 euros for a very meager selection, so I was disappointed and canceled it for the rest of my stay. The bakery next door has much better options for a lot less. Still, it was a good stay. Thank you so much.

Our top-floor room was amazing, with a wraparound terrace and a sauna, and it’s only a short walk to the old town. The AC for the whole building went out one night, on a fairly hot evening. No one told us, so we spent quite a while trying to figure out why the room wouldn’t cool down. Even so, we had a great stay and I’d definitely come back to this hotel if I visit Heidelberg again.

The location was just right for my stay in Heidelberg, halfway between the train station and the city center. My room was modern, beautifully decorated, bright with sunlight, and spotlessly clean. The internet was strong and worked flawlessly. Staff were attentive and very helpful with all my needs.

I’d booked in Old Town at first, then realized how hot Heidelberg would be and quickly picked this hotel for the air conditioning. I expected to be away from everything, but there’s a lot right nearby: a museum in the building, Aldi out the back, cafes and restaurants, a green park, and trams out front. It’s a ten-minute walk to both the station and Old Town. The rooms are bright, clean, modern, and spacious. The bed was super comfy, the shower was great, and the rooms were soundproof and could be darkened for sleeping. There’s a lovely little cafe on the ground floor. We skipped breakfast but had other food and coffee, and the breakfast looked adequate. Choosing a place can be hard when you’re weighing location and amenities. In hindsight, I wouldn’t have booked in Old Town at all. I’d choose here. This hotel far exceeded my expectations.
