Beach Motel Heiligenhafen

It was quite busy during our stay, but the staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. I enjoyed spending time in the Fitness Room. The hotel is just a short walk from the beach, with breathtaking views of the Baltic. There's also a Beach Bar with seating and music from the afternoon into the late evening for anyone in the mood.

The rooms, restaurant, lobby, and bathroom were all very clean, and the shower was big. Our balcony had a nice sea view. Staff were friendly and helpful, and they helped with allergy restrictions. It wasn't overpriced. There's a vending machine toothbrush for 1.50€, free pool, and good parking with a Tesla charging station.

The rooms were enjoyable, and the beach is only a couple of hundred metres away. We liked this new hotel and its location in a beautiful area that has seen quite a bit of development recently. Inside, it has a very nice feel throughout, with friendly staff, a large car park, and a lovely outdoor terrace and bar. Breakfast was great for only 12 euros.

The friendly staff have a relaxed, personal touch. It's American style, with really comfy seating areas that are great for coffee or wine with friends or family. The drinks and coffee selection is very good, vegan coffees are no problem, and we didn't eat there. The place can be nearly empty or very full, so check or book before going. Our main problem last time was how they handled our table. A waiter seated us at a table for six just for drinks, then a few minutes later we were asked to move to the bar because they needed the tables for diners. Later we saw kids playing at the table we'd been given. We couldn't order everything in the restaurant, and they wouldn't bring our order to the bar. Hot drinks weren't available at the bar, so we had to order and pay for those in the restaurant, then move over and order and pay for other drinks at the bar. It was crowded and noisy there, so in the end we found a comfortable spot by the hotel reception. The staff could have been more helpful. Ordering and paying for hot and cold drinks was difficult, and being seated then asked to leave was poor practice, especially since the table wasn't used by paying customers after all.
