ARRIVEL Hotel Kirchheim - bisher: Novitel

Dust was everywhere, there were several hairs in the beds, toilet paper was left in the toilet, and there was mould in the shower. The room was VERY dirty, as the photos show. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel. I don't know about breakfast yet. First I have to get through the night.

Over 500 euros for three nights, with only a very basic breakfast, felt unreasonable. The bed was uncomfortable, and when we had an issue with a window that wouldn't close overnight, there was no staff available to help. It was disappointing to pay a premium for so little value. The business model seems focused on keeping costs down while giving customers very little.

There are lots of parking spaces for guests, and several restaurants and a supermarket are nearby for dinner or a quick shop. Check-in is self-service: you get a PIN code to use. The rooms were tidy and nice, and cleanliness was up to the mark. Breakfast was really nice, with plenty of options.

The breakfast had loads of choices, both sweet and savoury, and we liked the modern room and facilities. It was an easy check-in, and we had a decent night during our one-night stop on holiday. Sound carries between rooms, though, so we could hear other people in the morning. I'm sensitive to that, but earplugs did the trick. Unfortunately, the toilet didn't seem clean when we checked in, and there was a nasty surprise in it.
