A hotel tucked into a whimsical garden, so it's much more than just a place to stay. The rooms were comfortable and nicely equipped, and breakfast was a treat.

We'd gladly come back with our dogs. The hotel sits on the outskirts of Herbstein, with direct access to the countryside, which makes it especially handy for dog owners. Dogs are welcome, with clear rules. Ms. Kaage is a particularly lovely hostess and has a great feel for atmosphere. The garden is a great place to unwind, and there's also a fantastic barbecue hut with room for about 10 people. Breakfast is an optional extra, nicely presented with regional products. The concept is well thought out, and the place is definitely different. We thought everything was great and highly recommend it.

I loved the quiet location and the garden, and the hostess was warm and welcoming. It's a charming little hotel. The rooms feel modern and have thoughtful details. You stay in a small house with two rooms and a shared kitchen, and it has everything you need. I'd definitely return.
