Aparthotel Tropenhaus Bansin

Really nice.

The location was the one thing that worked for us, since the beach is within about a 10-minute walk. We found the stay stressful and wouldn’t recommend it or come back. The whole setup seems poorly planned for families, even though it’s promoted as a family destination. Getting a pram to the second floor was very difficult with no elevator. Prams weren’t allowed in the passage, and the storage areas were too far from our room to be practical. The beds were extremely worn and uncomfortable. I’ve stayed in lots of places, but these were among the worst I’ve slept in, so I ended up on the sofa. We were told entry to the Tropenhaus was included, but that never happened. Our family of five and the grandparents had to pay over 80 euros to see the animals. Breakfast was awkward too. We were told the first floor would suit children better, but the buffet was downstairs, leaving parents going back and forth while the kids waited upstairs. With a small baby and no elevator, it simply didn’t work. The upstairs play area wasn’t very inviting, and part of it was in a partially enclosed space where parents couldn’t properly see their children. The food was disappointing as well and should be reconsidered.

We felt very comfortable and would love to return. The rooms were lovely and clean, with everything needed for a comfortable holiday. Breakfast had a broad selection, so there was something for everyone. I can definitely recommend the Bansin Tropical House. The little zoo was also very nice and just right for the children.

The kids especially loved the tropical greenhouse, and we’ll be back. The place was clean, breakfast was excellent, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were absolutely delighted. Keep it up!
