Hotel am Fischerstrand

We really enjoyed staying here. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the rooms have modern furnishings. Breakfast was varied and delicious. The two-course dinner included with half-board was absolutely superb and far beyond what we expected.

We were here for the Baltic Lights festival, so things were quite busy. Breakfast downstairs had plenty of choice, though nothing was labeled. Most dishes were easy enough to recognize, but bowls of yogurt and creams weren’t clear, and labels would have helped. It would also be good if everything were ready from the start: some items were still being prepared in the pan when we arrived early, and by the time we realized, it was too late. Our room was clean, tidy, and just as described and pictured. The doors close mechanically and make quite a bit of noise, which you can hear clearly in the room. The hotel sits right by the Baltic Sea, and some rooms have a sea view. There’s a pier directly in front, handy for watching the sunrise without a long walk. There’s a bus stop about 100 meters away, and you can use it with the tourist tax. There’s no hotel parking right at the building, though you can pull up there to check in and out. The parking lot is on a separate plot. It’s a cramped, sandy, uneven area with numbered signs, especially when full, and it seems clearly designed to make money.

The balcony in our room faced the sea, and watching the sun rise was indescribably beautiful. We came for a wonderful short break, and the winter half-board offer was perfect for the cold months. The young chefs making dinner were fantastic; you could watch them prepare your meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We’d love to come back. See you soon!

This was our second stay, and once again we’d give it full stars 🌟. Thanks so much for the food and drinks, and for the excursions you offered. We had a lovely room with a small but perfectly formed bathroom, room 525. We’ll be back in February. Special thanks to the kitchen staff and service team.
