The apartment was nice and clean, and the staff were friendly. The dishwasher was broken, but that didn't bother us, and all in all we had nothing to complain about. The garage felt very secure, though it cost 18 € a night. The dog fee was 25 € a night, which I think is too expensive.

We've stayed in Seetel Heringsdorf holiday apartments many times, but Aurora was a first, and a big disappointment. The apartment felt so neglected that the stay wasn't pleasant. The carpet was stained, the leather sofa was brittle, the kitchen drain chain was broken, the dishwasher didn't clean properly, the bathroom doors wouldn't lock, and the lighting was uninviting. From most rooms, the view was of random buildings. Getting to the spa meant crossing the street. The whirlpool and pool counter-current system were still broken, and had been for at least a year. We'd been there twice last year and they weren't working then either. There are sharp-edged holes in the sinks in the changing area, and the sauna lighting has had a loose connection for at least six months. We still recommend the new holiday apartments, but not Aurora.

We felt very welcome from the moment the owner greeted us, and the dog package was really cute. The four of us and our dog had a wonderful stay. We had chosen the apartment specifically for its swimming pool, though, and it was closed while we were there. The price seemed a little high outside peak season, but is probably about average for the Baltic Sea coast.

The bed was stained, the curtains and walls were dirty, and parts of the laminate floor were black. The place was dated, dingy and run-down. We turned straight around and left.

We were disappointed with the hotel. The breakfast was nothing special, just the same sort of thing as at any other hotel, yet it costs €22 per person. Parking is another €18 a day, which is outrageous. I wouldn't want any of my guests to stay here. Charging holidaymakers like this feels like a rip-off. Shame on you!
