We felt at ease from the start, and the price for what we got was right. The hotel and its inviting entrance were nicely designed, with modern touches, and the outdoor area was pleasant too. There’s a park close by for walking the dog. A week before our stay, we were able to book a double room at short notice for August 5th to 7th, 2021. They managed to keep us and our dog in the same room, though we would have been fine with moving. Reception was very friendly and customer-oriented. Our room was bright, welcoming, spotless, and looked over the courtyard, with a separate living room and bathroom. Requests for breakfast and an extra pillow were handled readily. The staff, including Ms. Ehlert, were always helpful and friendly. We’ll be back!

We came across Stadt Berlin while looking for dinner and were warmly welcomed and shown to a lovely table. The food was excellent, hot, and nicely presented. Staff answered our questions politely and professionally. Thanks for the effort. We’d gladly return for dinner or breakfast.

Everyone at this family-run hotel was super friendly and helpful, and your luggage is brought up to the room. There’s no elevator, though, so you need to be able to manage the stairs. The central location is great, less than ten minutes from the beach and pier. The facade is a dream. Rooms are practical and clean, with flat-screen TVs and narrow beds that have great mattresses. Some rooms have balconies. It’s on the main road, but as Berliners we had no trouble with the quiet nights, and the hotel even provides earplugs. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice and something different each day.

We spent two nights in the annex. Getting in meant climbing a steep flight of stairs, which felt pretty ordinary. The beds were French-sized, and at two metres tall I slept restlessly because they were too short. At least the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was okay, but the coffee machine really needs cleaning. The scrambled eggs with ham were already lukewarm half an hour after breakfast opened, which was a shame. The receptionist was very nice, though reception wasn’t staffed all day from morning to evening. I know it’s hard to find staff.
