The beach is right there, and the hotel has wonderful spa areas. Breakfast is a huge, delicious buffet too.

We especially enjoyed dinner on two of our three nights, with Abdullah and Jessica looking after us. Strandhotel Heringsdorf overlooks the beautiful Baltic beach, and the owner and staff made us feel very special. There aren't many English-speaking tourists in this part of Germany, but communication was easy both before arrival and during our stay. The hotel has a fascinating history going back almost 150 years, while everything feels very modern. There are extensive spa facilities, though we only tried the rooftop sauna and solarium. The extensive breakfast buffet was delicious, much like the special Sunday brunches here in Canada. We hope to return to Strandhotel sometime.
