Triftanfang Ferienwohnungen

We were told when we arrived that something had changed and it would be nice if we paid an extra €20 for final cleaning, compared with what was agreed when we booked last year. They wouldn't tell us this on the phone two days before arrival. Since there were four adults, we thought €5 each wouldn't hurt, especially as we'd been very satisfied the previous year, so we paid. We were asked at key handover to take out the trash, empty the dishwasher, and empty the ashtrays, though, so what was the €70 final cleaning fee for? The cleanliness wasn't what we'd hoped for this second year in a row. There was dust under the bed, on the pictures and chairs. The room light was so dim it might as well have been tea lights. The bathroom fan was dusty and, worse, broken, with dirt flying out. The toilet cistern was broken too, so we had to push the button back manually. Two rolls of toilet paper were supposed to last two weeks for six people. We asked for more and got two rolls, then bought our own. The flower boxes and pots on the terrace were overrun with weeds. Parking was an absolute disaster at the start of this year. Vehicles from a completely different holiday apartment located off-site were parked on the property. It was cramped, and a bicycle trailer caught on my car and caused a small scratch. The day before departure, I used a handcart to load the roof box from my car, which was parked about 200 metres away. On departure day, I had to stand on the sidewalk to load the rest of the vehicle. When we arrived to hand over the keys, staff pointed out the deficiencies, and it seemed to me they were trying to pull a fast one on us. Ms. Hartmann was always very friendly and did her best, but unfortunately that doesn't change how disappointed we were. We ended our vacation early and, under these circumstances, won't be coming back.
