We were very happy with Usedom Travel. When a couple of things came up, they responded right away and sent a technician over. The apartment itself was fine for us: two bedrooms, a living room with a little kitchen, and two half-bathrooms. One had a toilet and small sink, the other a big sink and a spacious shower, though getting over the high step was awkward. Getting to the beach is easy. A side street takes you straight to the promenade, with Heringsdorf Pier to the left and Ahlbeck to the right. The walk to Ahlbeck takes about five minutes, and there are restaurants, a big playground, and some exercise equipment there. Right on the promenade, Steigenberger Waterfront Restaurant is on the left, expensive but delicious. Luv&Lee at the Upstalsboom Hotel is on the right. Its menu is small but tasty, and dinner reservations are a good idea. The kitchen was cramped for four and had a microwave but no oven. The pans were far too large for the burners, and the narrow dishwasher filled up after just breakfast and dinner with only two pots and plates. Its top rack was very rusty. The TV was small, too. Parking behind the building near the neighboring pool was a tight fit, especially with a wide, long car or an SUV. There are basement washing machines for €4, and apparently a sauna as well. All in all, everything worked out great.

The beds are super comfortable, and the amenities are adequate. The location is fantastic, only a few meters from the beach. The house itself is very noisy, though. Neighbors' children were screaming and waking us at night or in the morning. Our ground-floor terrace faced the parking lot, so anyone could see it.

The apartment was spacious and beautifully furnished, and the beach is just a few minutes away. But it was so noisy that I can't recommend it. Our neighbors woke us up every day at 6 a.m. sharp. That's no vacation.

For the sand from the beach, a broom and dustpan just aren't enough, so an apartment vacuum cleaner is really needed. An egg cooker would also be a nice addition to the kitchen. The location is excellent, just a few meters from the beach, and the price for what you get is more than satisfactory.

We've stayed in places that were much better for the same price. The room here was quite worn and badly renovated, and the TV is small for a rainy day. Parking was another problem: the space was so narrow that it was hard to maneuver in or out, and even parking was extremely tight.
