We’ve stayed at the Aparthotel Tropenhaus for 12 years, but this New Year’s was our first time exploring our favorite island without the kids, since our youngest had graduated from high school and moved out. Villa Cremona had just opened nearby, and we were glad to try the hosts’ new seaside villa. It’s close to the promenade, with a big garden behind the house, and the breakfast was the best in the Kaiserbadee. It suited us perfectly as a couple who love being by the sea. We hope the planned barrel sauna is ready by our next trip, which we’ve already booked! 👫🌊🚲

We loved the quiet at Villa Cremona, with the chance to add breakfast at the Aparthotel Tropenhaus just a two-minute walk away. The buffet there was really good, and that mix worked perfectly for us. Staff at the villa knew the island well and gave us personal ideas for active days on Usedom, from ice skating and beach walks to massages, mulled wine by the bonfire, and winter highlights in Bansin. We had a ground-floor apartment with its own kitchen, so we could stay up late, sleep in, and have breakfast whenever we liked. The villa sits in a lovely garden with a big apple tree, and we could walk straight from our room onto the terrace in the snow, have mulled wine, and enjoy the crisp winter air and sunshine. We were so taken with the villa and the island that we booked a summer stay right away. I’d recommend it to couples who want peace and quiet while still being active, and appreciate style, freedom, and personal advice.

The owners are really friendly and keen to make sure you have what you need. It’s a quiet spot, about 10 minutes on foot from the promenade and five minutes from restaurants. The place was very clean and well equipped. They can provide a high chair for toddlers, and laundry service is available on request. There’s no microwave.
