We’ve stayed in Apartment No. 22 with a terrace several times, and it’s been to our complete satisfaction every time. It’s quiet here, even though the bakery is right next door and the pedestrian zone and beach are close by. There’s a private parking deck at the house, reached from the rear Bergstrasse, and the agency staff explained the way well. The apartment is comfortable, tastefully furnished, and very clean, with new appliances and furniture, plus a new comfortable mattress and mattress protectors. The bathroom is clean and has a walk-in shower and even a shower stool. Nothing was missing, and the amenities and value for money have been great. We first spent our summer vacation in Frisia Apartment 22, and everything was still top-notch then too. See above for recent photos. We’ll be back.

The spot is hard to beat, with the bakery just 10 meters away and the beach about 100 meters away. The apartment itself was lovely, but some areas weren’t clean enough, especially the balcony. The underground garage is tight and feels like an adventure, particularly if you don’t drive a Polo.

Apartment 30 was a disappointment. We booked through Usedom Travel, and they were understanding and did everything they could to sort things out. The main problem seems to be the owner’s priorities: the place looks decent at first, but some cupboard doors are hard to open and the knobs often came off in our hands. On the first evening the shower door leaked so badly that the bathroom flooded whatever we tried. A bed in the large bedroom collapsed, and we found two different slatted frames that didn’t fit. It had already been patched up once, and the caretaker had to fix it again with cable ties. There were also broken glasses in the cupboard and incomplete dishes and cutlery. The balcony is genuinely nice and large, though hungry seagulls may come by.

The apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, plenty of storage, comfortable enough beds, and tastefully chosen furniture. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, with loads of plates and glasses, a sandwich toaster, regular toaster, immersion blender, and more. It’s very close to the beach, and in the evening you can hear live music from the Bansin concert pavilion. I took off a star for dark patches in some corners that look like damp, and for the awful basement laundry room. The washer and dryer are clean and work fine, and cost €2.50 per load, but the room itself is dirty and smelly. I wouldn’t want to check the corners too closely, there could be animal droppings.
