Villa Minheim 1_2

The layout leaves a lot of the apartment's square footage hard to use. The small bedroom can only be reached through the larger one, with a sliding door between them, and beyond it there's an entry area leading to a locked second entrance and a second bathroom with only a tiny toilet and sink. The hall has no wardrobe or storage, and in the living room the only cabinet is old and locked, so there's nowhere for books or games. The parking space at the end of Waldbühnenweg, behind the rental agency, isn't very convenient either. For me, the price doesn't match what you get, which is a shame because the place has potential. There are some real positives: it's a charming, shady apartment with a lovely conservatory, a well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. But the owners seem to be relying on the charm of the old rooms. They badly need painting, the Biedermeier furniture is worn, several cushions are stained, the tablecloth has coffee stains, and the living room carpet is worn out. The garden furniture is weathering away, weeds are growing on the terrace, and cobwebs cover the facade. There are candle remnants from previous guests throughout, and none of the rooms has a smoke detector.

The beach is just 100-200 meters away, and the villa sits on a hill. Apartment 1/2 is spacious, with two bedrooms, a loggia, and a terrace.

Some apartments don't have parking at the building, and the terrace wasn't really cared for. The sofa bed also had mildew stains. It's okay, but at this price I expected a little more.

We've stayed here four times now and always feel at home. It's a beautiful apartment.
