We had a friendly waitress, but the meal itself didn't impress me much. My duck looked like a decent portion at first, though about two thirds was bone and only a third edible. It also blended into the dirt brown plate, so the presentation wasn't appealing. The red cabbage was very rich, while the gravy was good. After our mains we asked about dessert and were told the kitchen had closed. I think that's poor service when guests are already seated and between courses. The waitress did ask anyway and said the kitchen would make something. I almost wish they hadn't. We waited more than 20 minutes for one apple strudel, microwaved and served with canned whipped cream. The flavors were good, but that wait was disappointing, especially for something microwaved.

The old historic building is always interesting and fun to visit, and the rooms are superior. The service is super amazing, and the food is the best I've ever eaten. Every year on the way to Eurofurence, we look forward to stopping here. It's been the best part of our trip each time. Can't wait to return next year. -Dingo and a Fox

We ate out in the courtyard, where the limited summer menu was delicious across the board and the service was great. The beautiful old buildings made the occasion feel memorable and festive, with a comfortable, homey atmosphere. We loved this place 😊

We were just passing through and stayed for one night, but really enjoyed our time there. We were told it's the oldest building in town, and it's amazing that it's held up so well.

A friendly, straightforward country hotel, with free parking. The staff were helpful and supportive, and the setting made a nice base for exploring the surrounding cities.
