We were given food and weren't charged anything. Two refugee families from Ukraine, we won't forget that kindness or the way we were welcomed, along with our relatives and cats, just when we thought we'd be left out on the street. Complete strangers took us in, and we'll carry that memory with us. When we return to Ukraine, we'll tell people how they helped us. Thank you, Heusweiler Hof.

The owner is genuinely kind and makes an effort to look after her guests. I've stayed in Heusweiler many times and would happily come back. The hotel is quiet and under two minutes from the motorway, with shops and food delivery easy to find. Rooms are spotless, the amenities are good, Wi-Fi is excellent, and parking is free. Breakfast has plenty of choice, and the rates feel fair for what you get. I'm taking off a star because the place isn't very modern.
