The reception staff were really helpful and friendly, and you can park for free right outside. The rooms are tiny, though, with the shower beside the bed instead of in the bathroom. The toilet at least has its own little room. Fine for a business overnight, but I wouldn't pick it for a holiday.
We come here regularly for work and always feel at ease. The rooms are comfortable and clean, breakfast is excellent, and the service is attentive every time. The manager deserves a special mention for being so welcoming and personally available to listen to guests. Hospitality clearly matters here. We're always glad to return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What I remember most is how unwelcome we felt. After a long, tiring day and a delayed train, we reached the hotel around 9:30 pm, about half an hour later than our booked 8 to 9 pm check-in window. At the entrance, the self-check-in machine accepted neither our names nor our booking number, and there were no instructions, so we rang the bell. When the door finally opened after what felt like minutes, an employee responded with an aggressive tirade instead of helping. The sarcastic remarks, irritated tone, and insults left us standing there confused. We were made to feel stupid for checking in and rude for being late. They also accused us of calling when we supposedly shouldn't have. We'd been told a call wasn't needed until after 10 pm, and since we arrived before then, we intentionally hadn't called. That explanation didn't matter. There was swearing and dramatic gesturing, and staff said they were already off duty, despite also saying check-in was scheduled from 10 pm onward. We went to bed with that awful feeling, and the incident overshadowed the hotel itself. In all our travels, we've rarely been treated with such disrespect. Service should mean helping solve a problem. Here, we seemed to be the problem, despite paying a hefty €80 for an Ibis hotel.
There is a cafe downstairs, but after 10:00 PM you can't sit there. I needed to work on my computer late, and wasn't allowed to use it. That's awkward in a room meant for two or three people: in a triple room there's just one table and one chair, so the other two guests can't use the table.
