"Gästezimmer im Reich der Götter"

It was a nice, peaceful campsite, but the strict rules and the owner's manner spoiled the atmosphere for us. Children are not allowed because, as he said, they would mean cleaning six times a day rather than once and would be too noisy. Toilet flushing was only permitted until 8 pm; we were told off for flushing at 8:05, and the water was then turned off. On top of that, charging €2 per person per day to use the toilet felt outrageous, especially with too little toilet paper. The site itself was pleasant, but the close supervision and stinginess made it not for us.

We arrived in the evening, paid €1 to enter, and were told straight away that we had to leave. The entrance sign said the campsite was unsuitable for children, though it would be more accurate to say children were forbidden. We had our two-year-old daughter with us. The owner said parents don't raise their children properly, claimed she was causing trouble in his pool, which we hadn't even seen, and said he didn't want to take responsibility. It's practically impossible to rate a campsite after that.

The child-free setting suits us because we like a bit of peace, and children probably wouldn't find much to do there anyway. The playground is several hundred meters away, and the pool area isn't a water park. We had a short break over Ascension Day, with very friendly service on the phone and a clear explanation of everything when we arrived. Five stars from us, we'd be happy to return.

We were very happy with our stay. It was quiet and spacious, and the pool was fantastic. In the hot weather, the outdoor shower was a real treat, and fresh rolls were brought right to our campervan. The owners were friendly and the price was reasonable. A beautiful campsite.
